What is it that you do? (Why hire an engineer?)

Where do you work?

I work primarily where I live, in the Pacific Northwest. I hold my Professional Engineering license in Oregon and Washington. However, I have also successfully completed projects in California, Arizona, and Colorado and am licensed in these states as well. What Don’t You Do?

As I mentioned I can take care of anything on your property outside of your building, therefore my “don't do” list is pretty short. There are certain components of your building site that I can’t design. I don't design primarily structures, for example, a retaining wall. Other expertise that may be needed for site may include geotechnical engineering or landscape architecture. The answer to this question is most easily provided in list form. I suggest you scan the list, don't worry about reading it carefully.
