ELK ROCK VIEWPOINT
Mt. St. Helens National Volcanic Monument
United States Forest Service
This scenic viewpoint in the Mt. St. Helens National Monument provides stunning views into the crater. The site was formerly just an undeveloped gravel shoulder, but parking upgrades and the addition of an information kiosk as well as a natural stone wall created a breathtaking photo site. The project included a construction coordination component due to the remoteness of the site, while the design met a desire to preserve the scenic area.
